What is FALP?
The Foundational Adult Learning Portal (FALP) is an access point for online assessments and online learning resources. It is for Albertan adult (18+) learners, practitioners, instructors, tutors and all advocates of learning.
The goal of the portal is to break some of the barriers of traditional learning, through offering online learning resources that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
Serving: Canadian Born, Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, Inuit, Metis and First Nations Peoples, Temporary Foreign Workers and Visiting Visas.

These assessments are a great starting point for learning: identify previous knowledge, experience and strengths in order to help determine a learning plan.
Assessments are available in the four core areas of foundational learning: Skills for Learning, Digital Skills, Numeracy Skills, and Literacy Skills.
All of the assessments can be done online anytime, anywhere. The assessments can be found by clicking on the buttons below each of the core areas of learning described below.
